Serwas hello fellas,

We arrived further south in Napier in New Zealand. Its a really awesome place. Small black smooth stones are covering the beach and the water is as clear u can see the fish swimming in the waves.
Here in town there is the national aquarium, where Daniel and I allready where swimming with sharks. They where even bigger than me. A little scary but still fun. People where walking below us in the glass tunel. They where quite exited to see us in the shark tank. :)nn
I got s sunburn on my back and it is hurting! I used sunblock 20. Now we got 30. The sun here is so aggressive!
I added another few pics. Regratably the shark picture didnt come out well because there was no flash allowed. But still u can see a diver in the back to imagine how big these fishys are.

We will stay another day here in that pretty town. On the 10th we will head down to the capital Wellington. Our fary to the south Island will go on friday the 13th. :))

Yello hello,
how are u. we just reached the almost northernst point of new zealand and are already on our way back to the south. right now we are in a town called Kaitaia. we ll drive to 1200 year old trees with our met fellows susn and flo. they are also from upper austria from kirchdorf.

In a few days Daniel and my journey around the globe will start. First we will go by train to Vienna and take a plane to London. There we will switch the plane and go to Hong Kong in China. We will stay there for 2 days in a fancy 3 star hotel. Then we hop back onto a plane and fly all the way down to Auckland in New Zealand. There we will spend some days at couch surfing hosts. We will try to buy a camper van or a combi.
Once we have our vehicle Daniel and I are going north and then down on the east side. Later we will go to the south island and see where we will land.
I'll keep you guys on tour. Stay in touch and read the blog!

hey Folks,
My trip to New Zealand is getting closer and i am looking forward and getting everything ready.
For april I already got a job as glaser in the most awesome skireagion in Austria.
I will work there for about 4 yrs. then i ll study and might come to make a practica in NY. i know those are plans far from now but i'll work into this direction. Hope I will be able to come see a lot of u than again. :)

So after a very hard high season i got fired at the tire factory. I was not supposed to work longer than the season.
Now I smothly got a job as christmas stand seller in our capital of upperaustira - Linz. I sell stuff from the handycapped workshops from Diakoniewerk.
I really like this job. I just work 5h a day, from Mo-Sa. It is much easier, than piling up truck tires!
I sit in my little waggon with a radiator sell handmade candels, clay candel holders, cards, crosses, iron birds and so on.
I will put a picture up as soon as I took one.
I am finished by Christmas and than have some spare time to arrange everything for my trip to New Zealand.
I hope everybody has a sillent warm and nice christmas time.

So I finally watched the new James Bond. (in german of course)
Regretably I am not able to see American Movies earlier in the cinemas like in NY. But so what I still can download them bevor the americans see them in the theaters. hehe just kidding*
Ahm the new Bond played partly in Austria (Bregenz). I never made it there but i always wanted to go there. I ll go there some time after my New Zealand trip.
The movie was good, but I got a little confused some time. A little much Information combined in that movie. Or maby its just me, i dont know. have phun watching it.

Grüzi Folks,
Halloween and the weekend is tomorrow, maybe i ll go out in Linz an dress freaky up. In Austria every year around this time we have a day called Allerheiligen. People go to the graves and pray for the dead ones. So that is the reason why my parents say it is stupid to go out, but still all youth is on the way.
Right now i watch Independence Day. The human are just beating the asses from the aliens.
I still work a lot in the tire factory and i am still tired. I go to bed at 11 and get up arround 6 30.
so good night gotoa go. my mum just offered me some wine

Dachstein Icecaves

On Wendsday I went for a mountain trip with the Gutbrunners.
We went to Hallstatt and took the skilift up. First we went to the mamut caves. They are called mamut because they are gigantic cathedral high washed out caves. Later we also went to the Ice caves on the shadeside of the mountain. The ice there is always below the freezinh point.
The cave systems are over 50 miles long. About 1 mile is preparated for tourits. It was really an exciting trip.

Once we saw daylight again we went up all the way to the summit and had an awesome view of gods work.
We walked through foot high snow in Septeber!!!

Daniels Birthdayparty

My best friend Daniel had birthday on 9.11, we celebrated it on the weekend on his parents property next to the woods.
we played beer pong for a while.
it was fun but then the austrians wanted to play a game where u have to drink much much faster...better said as fast as u can ... after u hit a target until the oponent put the target up again... hardcore... i am not used to such shit anymore.
Daniel got a waterpipe from the Berndls as bd present and we smoked some good tabacco.
Eitherway the party was a big succes.
In the morning when I woke up in the cold cottage I started the fire again and ran arround wakeing freezing people. I gave them some water to drink and brought them back to the fire.
A few hours later all my family showed up at my home. It was a long day...

Cern in 3 minutes - LHC (Large Hardron Colider)

About the LHC. The start of the first beam was successful. But the first collision with the 2nd one is still outstanding. They will speed everything up to almost the speed of light and then ...nobody knows. Critics say this could happen as well...

Hello folks,
I got save back to Austria. Everything is so green here it is wonderful. The variety of food is enormous. ...ah yea i found out that I lost 14 pounds in America!?
But NY was an awesome time I met extraordinary people and became friends with them. NYC is an outstanding city.
When I arrived home i unpacked and started to implement myself again. One of the important things I did the first days, was to cut of the plug of my dell power adapter. As u can see it now has a very nice end and fits into Austrian sockets. :)

The LHC in swiss got launched and it was a huge success. World did not blow up still spins arround the sun. Within the next ten years the scientists will be able to solve more of the worlds secrets.

Tomas Tisch

Labour day (sowas wie der Tag der Arbeit):
Today I visited the studio of Tomas Tisch in Brooklyn. He offered me a job and a place to stay anytime. He is mostly a glass carver and flat glass artist. His studio is at the far end of the quiet Brooklyn bay. The statue of liberty is looking directly into the studio and a nice breeze of saltwater smell comes in the window.
So i might work in the future for him.
At night we went to Joe D. house and had a few beer, nothing much.

Today Kevin and I watched the comedy Hamlet 2. It was a very funny film of a guy who makes a sequel for Hamlet. In the first one everybody dies. So he write the play so that there is a time travel machine to rescue all characters. 8 out of 10 ********

Easy, Gustav

Yesterday Kim, Kristen, Kevin, Kristina and me (Klemens - 5 K :)) met at easy street. It was a lot of fun. The girls bought new hats in the city and I was wearing my Abraham Lincoln hat.

Right now they are evacuating New Orleans because of the Hurricane Gustav. The storm already killed a few people further south.
Yesterday the storm had 70 mph. Overnight it gained speed up to 125 mph. I am glad that we were able to visit the city.

Update: The storm got today almost got speed up to 150mph. The News say that the storm can reach the category 5, the strongest possible.
Already 1000ds of people are leaving New Orleans. They are good prepared and hope that history does not repeat itself. On the picture I took in NO you can still see the watermark by the entrance of the destroyed beer factory.

Geneva, 7 August 2008. CERN has announced that the first attempt to circulate a beam in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will be made on 10 September.
I will get home on the 9th, lets see if the world will go under?!
At least i can spend one day for sure in Austria. :)
Everything will be shown on TV Eurovison.

The dark knight

Yesterday Bibi, Marion, Chris and I watched the dark knight. It was an outstanding movie. I don't think it connects directly to the old movies, but you can look at it as a single work. The Joker (Heath Ledger) is a really evil bad tough guy. Once a beautiful lady gets blown up. Children started to cry in the cinema.
The movie is rated in for kids from 13 i think, for a reason!
My host dad watched it also with Andrew another day.
I give the movie 10 out of 10 **********
Watch it! But be prepared for lots of fights and really evil scenes.

Road Trip

Our trip was a big success and the things we saw on the road were just amazing.
We started in moderate rain to head southeast. Once we were over the long Veranzano Bridge. We drove with maps to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania I started to drive on 2 o'clock in the morning. I drove to and through Maryland till Virginia. We passed the Exit for the Virgina Tech school, were the horrible massacre was a years ago.
In the next state Tennessee we stopped at Knoxville for the 1987 Worlds Fair. There is the Sun's Sphere. ...maybe some of you remember the episode of Bart Simpson stealing a car heading for the fair.
It was actually "dead" like in the show, but it was still in nice shape. We took a free lift to the top and watched the landscape.
After visiting Knoxville we drove to our first mayor stop, were we camped in Cloudland Canyon - Georgia. It is right next to Chattanooga TN. The canyon was very bushy and green.We camped on a nice place in the middle of the woods. We had a campfire sanitary arrangements for just 12$ the night. In the morning we had two 2cm white scorpions with black stings in our tent. Bronwyn put a cap over them and cut of there tails, before I could say a word. I would have just thrown them in the woods again.
After this little adventure we got back on the road. On our way to New Orleans, we had lunch at a cool restaurant in Alabama. Later we stopped in Mississippi at a Emu farm. A nice old lady and her son told us a lot about the Emu holding. We bought gigantic green eggs, which look like dinosaur ones.
Shortly before Louisiana we wanted to see a Nasa Space Station, but they denied us to enter so we left.
We took a very long bridge into the city. (not the very long one who got blown up by the harrier from the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.)
It started to rain and dawn. At our final destination in the French Quarter, we stayed at a former slave house. It was very nicely decorated by an old artist lady.
Later we met Michael Deas a world famous artist, he is a friend of a friend. He drew the intro lady with the torch and the clouds in the background of all the Columbian' Movies. He was so warm and welcoming. He invited us into his house and we drank beer and went out together. We all got singed and dedicated copies of the lady.
The next day he showed us around the city all day and we took lots of pictures. He showed us the still ruined city parts the city and the "easy rider" and "Interview with a vampire" cemeteries. Thousands of houses do still have the red X on the house entrance. The people call them Katrina Tattoos. The military marked the walls so that people knew if there were dead or alive persons or animals inside.
Later we jumped over a fence from a destroyed beer factory. We walked in all rooms and on top of the roof. We had the best view of the city and took dangerous pictured of us sitting on beams with a drop of 50 meters.
At night we went to Burbon street were we all had a strong drink on the outside called Hurricane. It is older than the happening.
In the morning I took a flight back to NY that was were my part of the trip ends.
Bronwyn and Jason are still on the road heading west to Texas, Las Vegas, Denver and San Francisco.

NY to New Orleans Road Trip

Tonight is the time of our trip. We gonna ride on our 19 year old Mitsubishi 2200km.
We gonna make a stop after 14 h of driving through the night in Chattanuga TN.

After camping there we head another 7 hours for New Orleans, where we gonna stay at a friends friends house over the weekend. On Monday morning I will take the plane back to NY JFK.
Bronwyn and Jason are going on to Texas Nevada/Las Vegas. In Denver they will drop of the car and take the bus to the west coast and fetch the plane in San Francisco.

Last night we drove to a abandoned house from a guy who shot himself. The house is from a related member of Bronwyns host family. Bronwyn and her host dad spent a lot of time there cleaning and organizing stuff.
We sat together eating cheese tomatoes bread and wine. Erik played the guitar. By 11 we went home.

Hello und Serwas
Yesterday I was in the city to pick up my wallet from lost and found. I got everything back except the money. I am just glad that i got my driving license and my IDs.
Bronwyn and I first visited a Museum about Media called Paley (52 street 5-6 ave). I got free entrance tickets from my friend Amber from Bayville. In the museum they had several cinemas were u can walk in and out whenever u want. They also got an exhibition about "Family Guy"
Later we walked down 40 streets to a German restaurant were we met up with James, Joe and Kevin. Pictures are on facebook.

Something different. They found a dead monster in Montauk on Long Island. A lot of people and TV are speculating about what it could be. The cadaver was removed by 3 weird woman, who want to get in contact with scientists. I actually believe it is just a dead ugly animal. Also ORF is writting about it.

Ha! My wallet showed up at Pennstation. Somebody stole my 50$, but my driving license is still in there. I will pick it up in the upcoming days.
Today Bronwyn and I ran on a fitness barcour near Herrics. It was very nice almost like in the Austrian woods and the different training devices. After the running we went back to the peer were Kevin Bronwyns hostkid still was fishing. We did not catch any fish and went back home. In half an hour I start to work.

Yesterday I visited Anna in the city. I lost or got stolen my wallet in in the Penn station. I already closed my bank account. Luckily nobody took something off. I get my new card in 5 days.The only thing i really regret what was in is my Austrian driving license. I still do have my international one but it is not valid without the original one. I will use an excuse for the next to month, so far i never had to show it while driving. What I need to do is to get another ID so that i don't have to carry around my passport. I also called lost and found but in the last 24h nothing showed up.

Nothing much happend...in the last time. Andrew, Adam, Jack and I are building a 8 foot (2.5m) wooden playhouse in the back yard. So far we constructed the floor and the frames for the walls. It is a nice project but a lot of work. We want to built in a second floor.
Yesterday Kevin, Kristin, Joe and I have been at Easystreet. Tonight we do not have a plan so far.

Beach of Fire island

To sum up Fire island is a very nice place to visit. Different to Longisland it is much smaller and more Island Feeling. The people in the area we went to there all used little strollers to carry food and other stuff. They did not have cars but a lot of bikes. The houses are all built on wood beams.
It is a 40 min ride with the ferry and then u are in a completely different world.
The long large beaches are visited by a lot of tourists.
The tuque water of the ocean splashes in waves up to 4 meters on the beach and takes everything what does not move with it.
Before sunset we had a cocktail in one of the local bars. Then we went on the ferry to get back to our car. The sun was sinking into the horizon while we were sitting on the windy top of the boat.
Today we went to point lookout another nice beach place much closer but it did not have the island feeling.

ok... today at 2 pm i ll head for NYC to get to DC. i do not have a place to stay so far. I think i just gonna take the bus and see what happens. in the worst case. i ll gonna make through the night or sleep at the bus station. I ll gonna buy some food and the new I phone 3G in NYC.
i should go to bed get some rest work and then start my trip.

Garden City Pool

Today nothing special happened. I cooked ricerony and chicken for lunch. After I went to the pool with the kids. They closed it down at 5 pm because of technical difficulties. Maybe somebody puked in it we don't know. For dinner i made cheeseburgers salad and pasta for Andrew. In the evening we watched the lord of the ring "The fellowship of the ring".
I am starting to plan my trip to Washington DC on this weekend. I am looking forward seeing a lot of interesting places there.

Hoffman Party 4th of July

The party at Hoffman's was again a big success. Only the wired neighbor was pissing around about the fireworks the people launched.
We were like around 60 people not even Hoffman new all those guys. We had BBQ, campfire, Wee+Beamer, Beer Pong, good weather and kegs of beer.

The next day we cleaned everything up and started over again more civilized.
I took pictures again and put them on Facebook and Picasa.
Today after almost eleven hours of work we met Starbucks-Steve and the rest of the crew. He was celebrating his 21 birthday and got WASTED. I drove and was glad not to able to drink. Earlier that evening I took some tablets because I got a headache.

Independence Day Marquee

Yello,
yesterday was the independence day. We went to NYC. To see the big Fireworks at the east river we headed for queens.
It was really an amazing fireworks show. They had rockets which shoot cubes, smiles and stripes which last 30 seconds static in the position?!
To take good pictures without a tripod was for me not really possible.
Later when thousands of people wanted to get back to NYC it was impossible to get a cab. Luckily we found a cab reparation garage. The girls ask friendly if they could give us 5 a ride. So we got a 25$ trip which was good because the traffic was terrible and if we would have paid with the clock counter we had to pay more for sure.
We drove to a club called Marquee. Mike got in touch with one of the promoters. I think they are bringing hot girls in the club and get them drunk so that everybody has a great time. That is why we all got in for free and sat in the VIP lounge and got drinks served without paying. It was a very fancy small two floor night-club.
The cheapest bottle in this club is 375$ plus tip makes 650$ just to sit down. They also got bottles up to 10.000$. Mostly millionaires, models and stars are able to get in.
The funny thing is that I was wearing my casual cloths because I did not know we would go there and so I was the most under dressed person in the club. LOL But we all had fun dancing and drinking.
Another thing I can check off my list to do in NYC. Go into a high end club.
At 5 am we finally got home.
Tonight there is gonna be a independence party at Hoffmans it will also gonna be awesome. More about this party later.

The largest experiment of human kind is gonna take place in about 1 month. The "Large Hadron Collider" eng is a 27 km large tubering is built underground in France and Swiss. It will speed up particles and will let them crash 600 mio times per second. Scientist think they will be able to generate a simulated big bang "Urknall". They will create a fireball with enourmous tempretures ("a few billions of Celsius")!
1.000.000.000 = one billion
1.000.000.000 C° = 1 800 000 032 degrees Fahrenheit.
If everything it works like the theoretics promiss it will be the invention or the milestone for our generation. 2500 outstanding scientist, best at each subject from all over the world are working like bees for the greater good. Not a single person understands the whole machine anymore. Its gonna be bigger than the landing on the moon or the invention of the electric light.
They hope to generate mini black holes and finally find the 25 particle called "Higgs".
Some people are afraid this gigantic machine will destroy earth. We will gonna find out when they start launching the particle raceway at the beginning of August.
I am really intrested at the process and the results. I hope we wont blew up earth in a gigantic firestorm or eaten up in a black hole.

Yesterday I watched "You don't mess with the Zohan" with Kevin. Adam Sandler is Zohan a Israeli Counter Terrorist. He is tired of the never ending war between Israeli and Palestinian. He has a dream to become a hair stylist in NY. He tries to bluff people that he is dead and moves abroad, but his life is following him.
It is a funny movie with a lot of overacted scenes.

Bronwyn, Andrea, Ulrike, Chris and I watched "The Happening". That movie is about plants killing humans most likely because of their wasteful behavior. The plants put toxic gases in the air which makes the people kill them self.
The movie was more to laugh than to take it serious.

Hello everybody,
On the weekend I finished my final weekendclass course at C.W. Post. Last night I wrote my final post-assignment for the course and handed it in today. I should recive a certificate for finishing my credits, which means i ll get back my deposit.
Now it is official. I am comming home between the 8 and the 10 of september.
Jakob and Sophie are comming to NY between the 2 and the 9th, so maby I ll come home earlier than my siblings. ;)
I am looking forward to see all of you again.

First time part in a world record

More than 8 million Firefox 3 downloads in 24 hours. The Guiness World Record people are now proofing the record. The browser is really nice smooth and got a lot of new cool features. One click bookmarking. Multi text selecting. First I missed my mouse gestures but with an add on the browser is also able to handle that. Thunder Storm

Yesterday at night Bronwyn and I watched a Thunderstorm from the playground. It was somewhere north thats why it did not rain there. It was the first Thunderstorm I saw in America, because I live in the basement. Regretably I did not bring my camera.
Before I went with Mariko to the apple store and asked some questions about the new apple Iphone 3G. It is a I pod touch and the new I phone 2.0. Its gonna come out on July 11 for 199$ with 8GB. I think thats cheap, even if i dont use it as a phone i can go on the internet and use it as ipod touch. The touch right now costs 299$. Lets see if the prizes will drop on July 11.

33° Celsius in the shade

Yesterday night I went out with Kristina, Mariko and Ute a girl from Salzburg she is an au pair from Brooklyn. It was really nice to meet another homeland fellow. We talked a lot about Austria.
The wheater today was terribly hot, we had 33° Celsius in the shade and there was a lot of humidity in the air. When I think about that it will get even more hot I cant look forward to it. Tommorrow it will get 36°.
Austria lost against Croatia 0:1. I couldn't see the match because the match was just on demand and I did not want to pay for it.
I also met a new au pair in Garden City today. Her name is Dorin she was born in Uganda and grew up in Sweden. She seems to be very nice. I ll gonna show her more of the GC tomorrow.

It is a nice and warm saturday. Regretably I couldn't join Bronwyn and Ulrike to a trip to Bosten, because I've to work in the morning and in the afternoon.
Right now I have off till 3 pm and I read on orf.at that the opening game Swiss and Tschechien is on. I zaped through the TV and found a channel who is hosting the game.
Regretably I am not in Europe to see all the craziness.
I hope u are all enjoying the games. The first 50 minutes where boaring so far. There have been no goals...

Kong Fu Panda

After a parade with 100 firetrucks in Garden City for a horse race somewhere in the land, I watched Kong Fu Panda with my Hostkids.
It is a nice kids movie i ll give it a 8 out 10. ********
Later I took the train to Floralpark where I met Kevin and Hoffman at Duggens. They are planing to make another party next weekend. Regretably I can not be there because I have to go to the classes at CW Post to get my Credits.

Invisible Fence

Today the yardworkers drove with the lawn mover over the cable of the invisible fence and cut it so the dogs counld go outside. Mary ordered the fence people to repair it.
I took a look at it and bought new wire (1,60$) at the Home depot store. Later I attached it to the socket inside and put the wire trough the wall outside. Then I dug up a rill and attached the broken wire to the new wire. I sealed exposed parts and then I connection the ends which I also sealed with tape. Then I took Kovus collar and got shoked! The invisible fence was working again. I burried the cable and let the dogs outside.
Mary canceld the reparation gave me 2$ and if the dogs didn't cross the invisible fence then they get shoked if the would do it now! *-*-*-*-* barf!

Bronwyn wants to make a trip xross country east to west. I will most likely go with her till the south coast to New Orleans. On this way we gonna cross Knoxville and Nashville in Tenessee. Driving time about a 22 hours. We want to get there in about 3days and spent two there. Then I will take a plane back to NY and she will get on heading west with Paul who will fly to New Orleans to join the road trip.

Today I found a plugin for WinAmp and Windows Media Player. No longer searching for lyrics on the web. Just start listening to your favourite songs in one of these players and the lyrics will be displayed automatically.If the lyrics are not found, you can add them yourself :)
It is really an amazing feature which you wont miss anymore once you got it!

Bronwyn and I checked out Chillis a restaurant chain. It was quite good and afordable. Now I am watching the day after tomorrow.

Today when I picked up Andrew from the bus Joe C. had to come to our house because Mariko went to the dentist. When Adam got home Vincent C. also just got over from the Griffith's house (neighbors). We did the homework together but it was kind of a bit loud. Andrew finished first and started to play basketball.
After Mariko picked up the Como kids, Adam went to play the Smackdown VS RAW 2008 featuring ECW (extreme championship wrestling). At 6 Adam and I read books on the terrace and later Adam Andrew and I played Lacrosse (LAX). At 8 o'clock Adam watched the WWE Monday night Raw show. Andrew went to bed at 08:30. I will get off at 09:30 and then I will call Mariko.

The wheater today was great. Ulrike and I went to Manhattan and it had sun everywhere. I bought new equipment for my Camera Eos 400D at Adorama at 14th street 5/6 Ave. I got a Canon 200mm Telelense, Makro Extensionstubes from Kenko and a Polarizer filter. I just spent 430$/ 273€ because the things where already used. I hope I got some time in the next days to try out my new stuff.
Later we walked to the Central Park and relaxed in the sun. After burning in the sun we walked to the Pennstation and rode to Mineola. We went to Starbucks and had coffee and tea. Then we walked home.
At night I went with Mariko to Applebees and ate some Onionrings and had a drink called Mudslide (Kahlua and Vannillaicream with chocklate topping).

today I had to work from 3 till 7. After work, Mary from Brooklyn (old Nanny of the neighboors) came to visit. She and Mariko from the Comos came over to my basement. We took some weired pictures and took the train at 11 to Floralpark. There we went to Duggens and later walked to Easystreet.
There we met some friendly local people, who took us to another bar at Franklin square.

About the party: It was an awesome first "real American party" for me. Red Cups, Beer Pong, Slip & Slide and English speaking drunks. Altogether I think it was a big success and i it was nice to have so many different people/cultures together.

Easy street

Yesterday Kevin, Hoffmann, Kristina and I went to "easy street" a bar in Floral Park. We a lot of fun. At the Gasstation I bought chips and weired looking cake. It looked like a pink hegehog. It was very nice to hang out with some guys.

I brought my small camera and took a few pix. Tonight we did not decide what we are gonna do. Night is still young 8:46

Against the bad Canes-crictics of the movie did I betake myself to the premiere and watched the show.
As fan of the Iniana Jones movies which are for sure the last one with Harrison Ford I was a little bit disappointed.
I really liked the beginning it also catches up with the old parts. But some of the scences and dialoges are really stupid.
Just one short scence in words. Indie accidently got to a atombomb testfield. He rescues himself from the nuclear detonation by steping into a leaded fridge. He flys 3 km in the air crashes and gets out without a scratch.
But I promise you a lot of unexpected scences. So watch it yourself.
My rating is just a 6 out of 10. ******

Its wendsday and the wheather finally got better. We are heading for the weekend and its gonna be nice. On Monday there is a national holiday - Memorial day. Good evening,
Today nothing much happend. It rained the hole day. After I got up I went to sign the monthly meeting pappers for my LCC (Local Childcare Coordinator). Then I made a quick stop at Bronwyns hostparents house to drop of a gift for Magrette (Brons hostmum) for bringing me to the bike store and they also got a labrador mix puppy. It is really cute and small.
Later I picked up the Bicyle which I brought to the store to get it fixed because the chain broke. The bike is in bad shape but i can drive with it. Brakes and tires are ok.
At 3 pm I started to work till 8pm.

Yo fellows,

Yesterday I participated on my first mission as agent for the online community Impoove Everywhere
About 600 People with cameras met at Foleysquare. The mission was to form up a line accross the Brooklyn Bridge and make a flash wave. Everything got filmed from the Manhattan Bridge. The weather was terrible! I rained cats and dogs and there was also a lot of wind on the bridge. We all got soaking wet! I hope it will look good on the video. So far they are still working on the tape.
Here a few pictures. It was dark rainy little foggy... ahm perfect conditions for taking pictures. :)

Sorry that I let all of u wait so long for the next Newsletter.
Ahm yea my friends and I celebrated @ Kevins House Kevins' and my birthday. We had a lot of fun, ate Schnitzel and potatoesalat. Later we went out to a sportsbar in Floralpark. My mom visited me over the last weekend. I picked her and a her friend up from the airport and drove them to Garden City were we had dinner together with my hostefamily. I showed them the house and brought them to the railway station. The next day we had a 12h sightseeing trip on which they saw for sure more than common turists in a week.Later that day I went out to a birthday party in Downtown with Bronwyn Kevin and Paul.
The next day I met Mum and Lilly again @ the Guggenheim Museum. They had an exhibit from a famous Chinese Artists. I was the best I ve seen so far in NY. He made art with fire, Tragic Statues and stuffed arrowed animals. Thanks again to everybody for the wishes and gifts. @ Konrad thank u for the book I recived it yesterday! @ Anna thank u for the gift I was surprised ;-)attaced there are a lot of pictures of my friends my mum and me. I hope every body is having a great time!

Yello everybody!

As u can see the trees here a blooming and we also got a pink tree in front of the house like in Riedegg. Andrew and I tried to put the dogs in position but they are not very fotogen. Crazy Kovu loves to dance and old Kiara always barks if Kovu does steals her toys or just for fun till the family puts Kovu in the Cage.
A few weeks ago I teached Andrew and Adam how to play soccer. Andrew really loves the sport and is getting good. Adam is most often the Goaly and from time to time he puts his pants down just for fun. I told him not to but he thinks he is funny.... CRAZY!
One time we went playing minigulf and another time i showed the kids how to walk 6 blocks without a car!
Tomorrow I am celebrating my birthday @ Kevins house a 25 year old Hockey Fan a good friend of us. He also had birthday yesterday. I will cook Schnitzel and Bronwyn will make potatoe salad.
We gonna stay at his house for 2 or 3 hours and then go out.

Hello,
Recently notthing happened here. Except the tree and a lot of plants are blooming. Our news are filled with the pope and the visit in Manhattan. I didn't went to see him. I signed in at C W Post where i ll take my next Courses for another 3 Credits. Then I finally finished all of them. Yesterday I really got papers from Cultural Care about the extending program. But I wont stay here longer. :)
My mother is comming soon to visit me here.
Gas price for one Gallon reaches 4$.
I did not loose my jacket... I found it again.
MEDIA here is stupid!!! ...yesterday they arrested a young boy who wanted to blew up his school with a bomb. They talked about how he wanted to do it and wrote the ingredients like a recipe for a pie on the screen. No wonder the kids get bad ideas if they read what they need... just stupid!

Mal wieder ein Letter in Deutsch da mich dieses aktuelle EU Thema interessiert.
Ich bin ja nicht so der Fan von der EU. Ich glaube das unsere Neutralität damit wirklich den Bach runter geht. Wir sollten uns nicht von jmd. andrem lenken lassen. Die Schweiz hat das auch immer noch geschafft. Eurofighter sind erst der anfang. Je größer eine Nation wird desto derber wird die Machtgeilheit und die Wahrheit wird uns verschleiert. - ich sag nur Amerikaner werden hier für blöd verkauft ohne das sie es merken. Ich hoffe dass das nicht uns passiert!!! Fakt is je größer ein Land is desto größer wird auch beschissen.

Yello,
Now we just arrived safety at home from our trip to mount white face next to lake placid. It was a 300 mile 6 h trip. Lake placid (close to the Canadian border and Montreal) is one out of three cities in the world who has hosted winter olympics twice. St. Moriz Swiss and Innsbruck Austria are the other two. L.P. is more a village with a population of 2600. It is very nice friendly and inviting. The mountain is tinny compared to Austrians ones, but the slopes are also very nice. We slept in a small cottage for 65$ a night. The vaccation at all was quite cheap. About 200$ for food skicards, equipment renntings and gas. The snow was already melting but we were still able to go all the way down, but still the consitiance is a little like mashed potatoes diffrent then in Austria. The weather was very sunny and warm.
We also wanted to bobsled but they already closed the icetunnel track after 3pm. Regreadably we all have to work tommorow again.

Hello everybody,
Today I got a letter from cultural care au pair. They asked me if i want to extend for another 3 month with better paying. I really think I ll gonna stay another 3 moths (till 4 Dec isnt that long) and i could make a little extra money on the side. Hope u are not mad at me that I have to let u wait a little longer for me. I miss all of u too!
My weekend was great I was bartenting for a birthday party with 60 persons and made 125$. The weater is bad again and I ve to work long. But luckily on Friday my friends and I are going to ski 5 h north from here. Its gonna be a cheap little vacation.

Today is Saturday before eastern. First of all I ll all wish u a very happy eastern and may the rabbit bring u lots of eggs hehe.
Tonight we gonna go to Websterhall a very large Club mit 40 000 Squarefeet 4 Floors and 5 DJs. Websterhall
We are celebrating a friends birthday. If we go there before 11 pm then we get free entrance. The drinks are expensive but we'll have a few before somewhere else. I ll also take my camera with me. The only bad thing is we dont made up a place to meet. So we hopefully find eachother in the crowds.
I almost finished my first of the 2 letters for Silverbay school.
I thought also about making a webblog but I m not sure about that yet. still 6 month left... maby i ll make one.....?!
So are u having a good time. Right now I do. Its getting a little warmer and I can were my summercoat again. No I did not loose it again mum. :)

Hello,
So I am back from my Weekend Course far north next to the 32 mile long lake George. In Silverbay we had a lot of snow and very senic "real landscape". Garden City is a from scratch planed city and there are no woods. A lot of trees but they are all put there by human.
We did not really learn somthing because we did not focus on one course. Everybody had to take 6 different classes. I took Photography (new everything about it), Kitemaking (painting), Ice cream making (seen before on Youtube), Optical Illusions (this lady read every single word from her powerpoint presentation), American Slang (little bit funny) and Criminal Justice System (with a cop who made not funny jokes - and i saw that u do not have to be educated to be an american cop!)
But all in all it was very nice. The rooms were renovated and had a bath tube. I also met a bunch of new people. I met one guy from Vienna who lives in Bosten. Next time when I go to there i ll visit him and 10 other au pairs from the course.
Our trip home on sunday took about 7hours. We got a ride with 3 southafrican girls. It was a very funny trip...
Back to work :p
Now I ve to finish my 10 pages to get the credit confirmation. I also have to find a school were i do the rest of my credits.
This week i got a date with a german girl a met in Silverbay. She lives 3 miles away from here.

Today again an important Newsletter with funny and bad news.
First the bad CNN.com wrote today an article about drugs in american drinking water... tastes like chlor like a swimming pool. I just drink the house filtered line because it tastes better. But the water is not clean, I highlighted the most important facts in the article red. If u plan to go to america READ it. And the thing what disturbes me most is that the TV Media does not mention a word about the water, the only thing you see is taking up some prostitute ring, corrupt politicans.... they dont give a shi* about their health, that is the reason that people here are so often sick. And so much people have alerigies...
The article was taken away from the front page after a few houres.... New York Times dont mention water on their site at all.... its like they dont want their people to know..
Ahm and some funny news.... American sell Austrian DVDs for 150$....isnt that funny. ...as proof take a look at the picture...
so i did not sleep last night so i am a little tired and go to bed early today...

Hello everybody!

On Saturday I had to work so the weekend is almost over, but my friends and I had a lot of fun seeing a rock coverband in bar. All the people where dressed like bikers. We really made a funny contrast in the bar.
The band played well but they where a little bit to loud. Tonight on Sunday I will go and see Kevin a friend playing hockey.
Last week I took a bunch of pictures at the peer 17. I put them all together and made a panorama. If u take a look at it u can see what i saw from peer 17. on the left there is NYC and on the right there is Brooklyn(495m). The river is called eastriver. I heard that 35 people jump every year from the bridge. I dont know if it is true, I never saw smb jumping.
Next week i gonna meet Mike (Bert) from my old class. And on the weekend Andrea and I will go to Silverbay to get 3 credits. I need 6 to fullfill my program. I also have to get my 10 site reports finished. So far I just wrote 2 of 10. Fortunaly I got another 6 weeks till I have to sign them in.

Now I have been at the Rollerhockey game. Kevins Team won 8 to 3. The game was violent and got ended early because the others gave up.
Today we also changed the time 1h forward.

wochenende is jetzt auch wieder mal vorbei war am freitag in Floralpark mit Bronwyn unterwegs. Samstags bin ich mit den German Girls "Spiderwick Chronickels" anschauen gegangen. Zuerst dachte ich mir der Film wär für Kinder, davon würd ich aber abraten da die Fabelwesen wirklich sehr hässlich animiert sind. FSK 8 oder 10. Die Story is so naja, hab den Film zuerst runtergeladen, die Geschihchte spielt aber meistens in der Nach also is von einem screenerdownload abzuraten.
Sonntag morgens sind wir auf nen spatziergang nach NYC aufgebrochen. wieder mal war die Brooklyn Bridge auf unserem Weg. Gegen Abend waren wir dann noch in Murpys wo sie schon verfrüht st. patricks day feierten... jetzt sitz ich hier und weiß nicht was ich schreiben soll. Ja der Dollarkursk ist das erste mal auf 1.518 Euro, sprich europäische Turisten machen ein tolles Geschäft wenn sie herkommen. Schlecht für Leute wie mich die $ verdienen da sie nur mehr die hälfte in Euro wert sind...

Hallo,

Wochenende is mal wieder vorbei und der normale alltag ist wieder eingekehrt. Vergangene Woche hab ich Bilder von der Mondfinsterniss gemacht die sind aber nicht so toll geworden...aber dafür ist die Nachtlandschaft mit Langzeitbelichtung gut drauf. Am Sonntag waren Andrea, Ullrike und ich in NYC Fotos machen vom Central Park im Schnee. Bei der Gapstow Bridge (südöstlich) hatte ich leider überall Blendflecken drauf hätte nen Polarisationsfilter verwenden sollen. Später hatt Ullrike noch ein sehr schräges Schild entdeckt. Gegen Sonnenuntergang waren wir noch kurz auf der Brooklyn Bridge.
Für die Schule in Silverbay müssen wir uns noch ne fahrgelegenheit finden oder ein Auto renten. Ach ja und Glückwunsch Oskar für die Fälscher.
Hillary Clintons Chancen auf einen Sieg werden immer geringer. Barac Obama (redet immer von Change keiner weiß aber was er verändern will) liegt bei den Demokraten vorn. Gesamt führt der Republikaner Mc Chain ("100 jahre Iraq kireg" -Idiot).
Schick doch auch mal ein paar Bilder...

Serwas!

Derzeit gibts nicht viel neues de kids ham ferien und ich arbeite deshalbt auch schon vormittags, was mir gut gefällt da ich dann am Abend früh schluss hab.
Andrea und ich haben den Film Jumper angesehen, ich kann euch nur raten schaut ihn euch nicht an wenn er in der EU rauskommt, dem Film mangelt es an Basisinformationen der Hauptdarsteller is unsympatisch und die Story könnte viel besser sein. Mein Tipp runterladen Geld sparen.
Diese Woche hatten wir soweit einen Sonnentag, aber es ist bitterkalt. Wir haben auch Vollmond der durch mein strukturiertes tischkathedralfenster leuchtet und mich nicht sehr gut schlafen lässt. ...echt super ich seh ned raus keinen Baum kein Grün, die sonn scheint auch ned viel rein, aber der Mond leuchtet fröhlich und erhellt mir die Nacht. lol naja hab des trübe fenster gestern dann um 2 mit dunklen papier zugeklebt. :)
Heute um 9 uhr abends (3uhr früh in österreich) wenn ihr schon alle brav im bett seid, soll es angeblich zu einer mars, mond und erd aufreihung kommen?!

Die Silverbayschule ist 4 einhalb Stunden von Gardencity entfernt, wahrscheinlich werd ich mir gemeinsam mit Andrea und anderen au pairs ein Auto mieten und übers Wochenende im März selber hinfahren. Das ist glaub ich die billigste Variante dort hinzukommen. Die nächsten 3 Credits die ich machen muss werd ich an einer lokalen universität machen.

Serwas Daham!

So bin jetzt seit 3 Tagen wieder zurück von Bosten. In Bosten stellte ich als erstes fest das NY eigentlich eine etwas dreckige Stadt ist. Bosten ist im vergleich viel sauberer. Leider war das Wetter richtig mies. Deshalb konnte ich nicht so gute Aufnahmen machen. Am Samstag war ich alleine in Bosten unterwegs und am Abend habe ich dann die Bronwyn und ihre Freundin Kerry die Geburtstag hatte getroffen bei der wir dann auch übernachtet haben.
Ich hab rausgefunden das die Harvard University in Bosten ist. Hab natülich meine Bewerbung abgegeben aber ich glaub ich bin denen ja sowiso zu schlau. :)
Am Sonntag waren wir dann alle etwas fertig. Abends haben wir dann wieder den Bus genommen und sind 3 einhalb Studen nach NYC und von dort von der Pennstation dann wieder ab nach Hause nach 40 min nach Garden City. Die Temperaturen beim Heimspazieren um 1 am waren derbest kalt da wir gerade arktische Winde vom Atlantic raufgeblasen bekommen.
Diese Woche startete mit langen arbeitszeiten muss jetzt immer bis 9 uhr abends hackeln. MeineFreunde haben leider zu späten Studen nicht immer Zeit für mich. Samstags muss ich auch 6 Stunden (über mittag) arbeiten was eigentlich nicht ganz mit meinem Vertrag übereinstimmt. Naja so lange es nicht so bleibt werd ich mich noch nicht beschweren.
Der Grund warum ich mich erst jetzt wieder melde ist dass ich so wenig mails bekomm das ich auch nicht Lust hab zu schreiben. Danke nochmal an die wenigen die sich Zeit nehmen und mich an ihrem Leben teilhaben lassen und mir hin und wieder schreiben.
So hab jetzt auch mal in den Kalender geschaut den ich geschenkt bekommen hab und hab festgestellt das es HALBZEIT ist. Ich freu mich schon wieder auf wärmere Zeiten und auf Österreich. Das Essen macht einen hier immer hunrig ich glaub das liegt an den vielen Zusatzstoffen. Zunehmen werd ich aber nicht da es ja nicht so gut schmeckt. Ernähr mich hauptsächlich von Tee, der auch nicht so wahnsinnig gut ist.

Gestern is des alte au pair von andrew und adam angekommen. Mellanie wird jetzt drei Monate hier wohnen und in der city hackeln. Nächsten Samstag werd ich mit dem Bus nach Bosten Massachusetts fahren und mir macnches ansehen. Die Giants haben den Superbowl gewonnen. Ach ja und ab März patrullieren Special Forces die Ubahnen von NY. De ham olle Ongst. Morgen is Super Tuesday, da werden bis zu 24 Bundesstaten gleichzeitig bei den Vorwahlen abstimmen glaub ich.
Naja de Wahlen da san so unfair. Hier die spezial Siegel die sie zur sicherung der Urnen verwenden am Ende sieht man dass man die Siegel einfach abziehen kann...
...& so werden Gesetze in Texas abgeschlossen die wählen alle einfach für leute die gar nicht anwesend sind.

sWetter is schlecht. Regen, kälte und in meiner Höhle is es immer dunkel nur das Kaltlicht in der Decke fröstelt runter. Andrea hat Geburtstag gehabt und wir waren beim Bowling. Ich hab mit 2 Pkt vorsprung mit 114 Pkt gewonnen. Ich habe wieder eine von den 10 Seiten für meine Schule in Silverbay geschrieben. Im Kaufhaus stecken die Verpacker alles immer in zig Plasiksackerl. Ich steck dann immer alles in eines und lass die anderen an der Kasse. ...so verschwenderisch. *kopfschüttel*
Ich hör viel Musik und versuch mir die Zeit zu vertreiben. Gut das heute Freitag ist! Bald Wochenende und ein freier Samstag. Morgen werden wir nach Manhattan fahren und das chinesische Neujahr in Chinatown feiern. Hoff das des lustig wird...
Was tut sich in Oberösterreich, Tirol und dem Rest in good old Austria?

Grüzi!
Hab mir am Freitag mit Andrea und einem neuem AU pair Christina den neuen Rambo angesehen. ...oh mein Gott war das ein schräges Erlebniss im Kino! oO
Der Film hat ne Story die man in 5 sekunden erzählen kann. Im Großen und Ganzem geht es nur um töten, der Film ist total Prowar. Das Kranke an der Sache war das Amerikaner klatschen wenn jemand den Kopf weggeschossen bekommt... Die Klatschen wenn jemand einen Pfeil im Kopf bekommt... Einfach nur krank! Der Film war sein Geld nicht wert. Ich rate euch ladet ihn runter und spart euch das Geld.
Nach dem Film sind wir dann noch in die Easy Bar. Dort waren 3 Glatzköpfe mit mit eintätowirten alten deutschen Fliegersymbolen aus den Weltkriegen. Die waren mir auch etwas suspekt. Als sie rausgefunden haben das wir aus Deutschlannd und Österreich sind waren sie hellaufbegeistert. Wir sind dann bald aber wieder nach Hause. Heute Sonntags muss ich wieder arbeiten :p
Wenigstens hab ich diese Woche meinen ersten Check von JBH Intertrade erhalten. Ich arbeite jetzt als aushilfe bei meinem Hostdad und bekomm so 50$ mehr die Woche. Feiner zuverdiest, ich hoffe halt das ich nicht sehr viel mehr arbeiten muss... soviel von mir.
